This Bright Land took place in August 2022, transforming Somerset House’s courtyard into a wonderland hosting day-and-night performances, music, dance, talks and workshops set amidst specially commissioned attractions and installations. The brainchild of Somerset House Studios artists Gareth Pugh and Carson McColl, we were asked to design a large planted area titled the Wonder Garden, created in partnership with Jo Malone London. Visitors were invited to step inside a family friendly, sensory garden featuring floral pathways and unique breakout spaces, offering moments of calm, tranquillity and discovery.
